Scripps Ranch Little League is a baseball organization for children of league age 5 to 18 who live in the 92131 zip code. We have a Spring and a Fall season. Registration for the Spring season starts in November and evaluations (tryouts) for MAPs through Juniors divisions are held in January. Teams are chosen at the end of January, and practices start in February. Games are played from early March through early-to-mid June. Our Seniors (ages 14-16) and Big League (ages 17-18) divisions have assessments and team creation in May. Scripps Ranch also has a Challenger Division for children LA 5-18 with physical and mental disabilities. Registration for the Fall season (also known as Fall Ball or Winter Ball) is in July/August. Teams are chosen and start practices in September and the season runs from October until the middle of November. Our Registration page explains how a child's league age is determined and gives the age ranges of the children in the different divisions and more information on how and when to register. The San Diego Padres Little League initiative aims to outfit up to 10,000 San Diego Little League baseball players with Padres uniforms. Scripps Ranch Little League has chosen to participate for the 2012 Spring season and all divisions from T-Ball through AAA will be outfitted with brand new hats and jerseys (26 different uniform variations were made available). All of the teams in each division will be the Padres, but they will all represent different eras in Padres history.

They have also created a new web page that has the the latest bat information, including the 2012 Little League Baseball rules and regulations governing bats, definition of terms, the moratorium on the use of composite bats, and a series of frequently asked questions, with answers. Update: Effective 03/09/2012, the Nike Aero CX2-BT0636 bat in all variations has been deemed non-compliant and ineligible for use in all levels of Little League Baseball. Images of the bat can be found HERE Update: Effective 02/27/2012, the Marucci 33-inch CT5 bat has been deemed non-compliant for all Little Levels Juniors and Above. The NCAA and National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations are taking the same action.
